Welcome to my Past Exhibitions page. This is basically where everything I’ve shown publicly ends up living. Different galleries, different shows, different spaces, and events I am fortunate to work. It's the perfect place to document how my work has moved out of the studio and into the world. Each exhibition allows my works to communicate a different message. Many of these exhibitions were group shows, juried shows, or themed events, which always changes the energy a bit. You’re not just putting your work out there, you’re putting it next to other people’s work and seeing how it holds up, or how it clashes, or how it unexpectedly connects. And between you and me, that's the part that matters most to me. Showing work publicly always feels a little strange. Once it’s out there, it’s not really yours in the same way anymore. People bring their own experiences into it, read things into it you didn’t intend, or completely miss the thing you thought was obvious. And with each viewing and interpretation, there is always positive (and negative) feedback. But that’s kind of the point. And I love every bit of input I receive. This page (like most of my website) is a work in progress. It is my hope that each item will direct you towards more information in case you want to dig deeper. This page isn’t meant to be a highlight reel. It’s more like a record of where the work has been, and where I was when I made it. Kind of like a pretty map!
